Little Steffi was certainly not born under a lucky star. Immediately after birth, she is taken from her unfit mother and placed in an orphanage. When she finds herself in the family of would-be devout farmers at the age of three, she experiences true hell on earth. In addition to the hard labour, hunger and inhumane treatment, she also suffers sexual abuse at the hands of her foster father from the age of thirteen.
