In the footsteps of Czech glassmakers

Follow in the footsteps of our masters of the delicate craft with this unique book in hand. The centuries-old tradition of glass production in the Czech lands shows the favourable climate, thanks to which Czech glass still holds a leading position in the world. Glassworks, design studios, glass museums and even open-air museums are waiting impatiently for your visit. But before you enter the temple of fragile beauty, remember the words of the old glassmaker's prayer:

If you enter the smelter,
Bow down and stand, man
For thou hast entered into the temple of glass,
and may your soul be pure and full of humility
against this mass,
at its birth
The soul of man and the will of God are intertwined.
