I'll wait for you

Max and Cam are twenty-five and have been best friends for a few years. That's one of their fundamental certainties. Cam is finishing her psychology degree and has never had anything handed to her. Max is the son of a wealthy family with a very problematic relationship with his father, whom he once caught having an affair. In defiance of his father, he joined a PR agency right after his bachelor's degree. He is very successful in his field and with women; he can have any woman he points at, but he truly desires only one.
Cam has strong feelings for Max, but even though she longs for a romantic relationship and suspects that Max could be the one, she doesn't want to risk losing her best friend if it doesn't work out. So she pretends that this suits her just fine and fruitlessly searches for true love – or at least a slightly more lasting relationship.
Max fell in love with Cam at first sight, but he doesn't want to change anything because he suffers from a strong lack of confidence in his ability to maintain a long-term relationship and would hate to hurt and lose Cam. But like a good fisherman, he knows well that just like when catching a rare rainbow trout, he will have to patiently wait for the one right moment.
