Husband and thirst are eternal

Flavie and Hanuš are young, in love, and even before their school-leaving exams, they announce to their parents that they want to get married. They ignore objections that they have years of university study ahead of them; after all, they'll both be working while they study. Flavie at a law firm, Hanuš at the fish ponds. They move into a little house left by a grandfather and start planning the wedding, which Flavie's parents refuse to attend because they disapprove of their daughter's choice. Flavie will recall her father's words more than once when the mundane reality of everyday life sets in, bringing with it the first marital worries. Flavie and Hanuš soon discover that things are far from going as they had dreamed. Especially when she's the only one making an effort, working full-time while studying, taking care of the household, and paying the bills mostly on her own. And her husband? He can't handle school or work, but he excels at sitting around with his mates drinking beer.

Everything escalates when Hanuš, fuelled by alcohol, becomes more aggressive day by day, and his promises that they would face everything together fall by the wayside.
