Selected short stories from the book Mal d´Afrique
Jarda Červenka, a physician and scientist, is a Czech-American, writing in English. His short stories have won American literary competitions. He also translated into English e.g. poems by Jaroslav Seifert. Thanks to his passion for travelling, he captures the soul of people of different continents and cultural colour in his prose. His stories have a strong emotional charge and their characters are portrayed with an eye for essential detail.

In 2000 they were unrepeatably recorded for AudioStory by Jan Tříska (the audiobook was then published under the title The Best Time of Life and Other Stories). Now after a long time you can listen to them again in a re-release.
