Human Biomechanics

Human Biomechanics is a new textbook of the Czech Society for Biomechanics summarizing the current knowledge in the field. It is intended not only for students of applied mechanics-biomechanics and biomedical sciences, but also for medical students who want to broaden their knowledge in the field of biomechanics with its content, understandable language, graphical representation and mathematical apparatus describing basic physical relations. After studying it, students will understand the behaviour of biological tissues from the perspective of mechanics, become familiar with experimental and computational approaches in the field and understand the development cycle of implants.

It is a publication that will be an important textbook in the current market of professional literature focused on non-medical health professions. The authors work across organizations in the Czech Republic and represent a very balanced team of authors.
