House on the island of Amelia
Before Raina Wingate can process that her marriage of sixteen years is falling apart, her phone rings and she learns that her father has suffered a stroke. Raina rushes to the family home on Florida's Amelia Island, hoping that the time apart will do her and her husband good and that she can keep her father's business running. Her sister Tori, a divorced owner of a catering company in Boston, is also flying in. But an unexpected encounter with their father's rather attractive neurologist adds a new dimension to the days and weeks ahead. It soon becomes apparent that Susannah, the mother of three of the seven Wingate sisters, needs support the most. A sixty-one year old woman, who keeps her face under all circumstances, breaks down at the possibility of losing her husband. She never needed her daughters more.
