House of Lights

In a large dark house on a hill lives a lonely little girl. Her name is Eva, she is ten years old, and her only company is the housekeeper and a Finnish au pair, Maja Salová. Her parents are nowhere to be found. And it's Maja who desperately needs the help of Pietro Gerber, the best hypnotist in Florence, the child whisperer. For some time now, Eva hasn't really been alone. She has an imaginary friend with no name and no face. And it's possible that because of him, she is in danger.
But Pietro Gerber's reputation is in tatters, and in his own way, so is he. Confused and with an uncertain future, Pietro eventually agrees, albeit with a thousand reservations, to meet Eva. Or rather, her imaginary friend. In that moment, an invisible door opens before him. The voice of a lost little boy, speaking through the hypnotised Eva, is not unfamiliar to him.
But above all, that voice knows Pietro.
It knows his past, and it seems to be guarding a long-hidden truth about something that happened one hot summer when he was little. Because Pietro Gerber died at the age of eleven.
And the mysterious event that occurred after his death still torments him.
