History of the philosophy of education
The diversity of educational systems and approaches to education mirrors the existence of many philosophical perspectives that are the starting points for the selection of curriculum content, methods of its acquisition, as well as for attitudes and relationships in the educational process. Since time immemorial, educational goals have reflected certain conceptions of the understanding of man, society and the world.
If an educator looks at the educational process and its actors through philosophical eyes, he is forced to ask questions related to the possibilities and limitations of his educational action. This publication focuses on a historical overview of philosophical-pedagogical concepts, beginning in antiquity. Its aim is to stimulate teachers, future teachers, and all those who are close to the issue of education to reflect on this issue.
