Hepatology
The first publication of Hepatology was published in 2010, the second (only in electronic form) in 2014, and the third, revised and updated edition was published in 2018. In recent years, the field has undergone a great development and has gradually become part of „ evidence-based medicine“.
The text includes information that is often part of „ recommended practices“ (guidelines) adopted in most countries based on „ Western“ medicine.
A broad team of authors, who are true experts in their field, guarantees the high quality of the information presented. Depth of information provided, charts, Tables and figures are at a scale to meet the most demanding requirements of clinical hepatologists, gastroenterologists, interns, pediatricians, infectologists, but also general practitioners.

The special part consists of chapters: Infectious diseases of the liver, Autoimmune liver disease, Alcohol-related liver damage, Alcoholism and alcohol abuse, Non-alcoholic steatosis and steatohepatitis, Genetic hemochromatosis, Wilson's disease, Porphyria, Toxic liver damage, Hepatic involvement in lipidosis, glycogenosis and amyloidosis, Diseases of the hepatic vessels, Chronic hepatitis, Liver cirrhosis, Tumors and cysts of the liver, Diseases of the liver and biliary tract in pregnancy, Liver and intestine, Pediatric hepatology, Intensive care in hepatology, Liver diet and nutritional support, Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt, Liver transplantation and Diseases of the gallbladder and biliary tract. Each chapter or subchapter concludes with a summary intended primarily for clinical practice.
