Greifenau Estate 1 - The Glow of Twilight

An estate in Farther Pomerania from 1913 to 1919 – the first part of a grand family saga about an aristocratic family. A family caught between tradition and true love on the eve of the First World War.
May 1913. Konstantin, the eldest son and heir to the Greifenau estate, dares to do something unbelievable: he falls in love with a girl of common origin, and even worse – a village schoolteacher, Rebecca Kurscheidt, who is a staunch social democrat.
They represent two opposing worlds – not only in terms of class differences but also in their worldviews. At the same time, her mother is planning a dream wedding for the youngest daughter, Katharina, to the German emperor's nephew – although it soon becomes clear what kind of monster is hiding behind the aristocratic façade. However, her heart also belongs to someone else.
Both of the count's children play a game of hide-and-seek with their parents and with society. Although they hide their secret loves well, they are both hurtling unstoppably towards disaster…
