Generation Zero

Detective Fabian Risk is back – and in masterly form! Ten years after the events of The Final Nail, Fabian is spending the summer on a sailboat off the coast of southern Sweden with his daughter, Matilda. One night, from the deck, they watch as the mainland is suddenly plunged into darkness. Upon returning to Helsingborg, Fabian's team faces a series of seemingly inexplicable cases that followed the mysterious power outage. Witnesses are behaving strangely, and nothing makes sense. Then, an old friend of Fabian's contacts him; her daughter has disappeared. Was it a kidnapping, or does the girl's father have something to do with it? As he searches for the girl, Fabian starts to recognise a certain pattern. But he's still missing something… A POWER OUTAGE IN A LARGE AREA OF SOUTHERN SWEDEN. A HUGE CASH HEIST FROM THE STATE BANK. KIDNAPPED CHILDREN, CRIMES WITHOUT LOGIC, MURDERS WITHOUT REASON. AND BEHIND IT ALL, A PLAN TO SEIZE POWER, PERFECT… AND TERRIFYINGLY REAL. “A dark crime novel with a disturbingly current theme. Ahnhem masterfully utilises the contemporary social climate and skilfully plays on our fears about the future. Undoubtedly the best book in the Fabian Risk series.” - Skanska Dagbladet (Sweden) “Stefan Ahnhem's success is not complicated: he writes like a god and keeps us in agonising suspense until the very last page.” - Nettavisen (Norway) Stefan Ahnhem: GENERATION ZERO | Translated by Vendula Nováková | Read by Pavel Soukup | Directed by Jan Drbohlav | Sound, editing and mastering by Vladimír Srb | Music by Petr Hanzlík | Recorded at S Pro Alfa CZ studio | Produced by S Pro Alfa CZ | Supervised by Alena Brožová | Published by Euromedia Group, a. s. – Témbr, in June 2026.
