Fundamentals of medical biophysics

Medical biophysics as an interdisciplinary field of science contains elements of many disciplines, at the interface of which it arises or uses their methodological approaches.

Medical biophysics occupies a specific place in the system of theoretical disciplines of medical studies. It forms the link between mathematics and physics on the one hand and the biological sciences on the other.

The specificity of biophysical analysis is the fact that the object of study is living systems and the results of the analysis are used to solve specific problems in individual medical disciplines using modern instrumentation.

Medical biophysics forms not only an integral part of the functional disciplines of the theoretical and preclinical part of medical studies, but also the theoretical basis of many clinical disciplines.
