Frantisek Pavlicek: Trubač's Meadow

The outstanding radio playwright František Pavlíček wrote his original play Trubač's Meadow in 1980. At that time, however, he was not allowed to perform it under his own name, as he was one of the authors who were deemed undesirable by the normalisation regime for their social engagement and banned from publishing. František Pavlíček set his play in a rural setting, In which, ...based on a humorous story from the harvest season, introduced a whole gallery of life figures, their minor worries and major troubles, which became a great opportunity for excellent acting performances.
