Four sunsets

This touching love story describes a wonderful summer when the author was working on his most famous novel, The Egyptian. The hero, the author's alter ego and a former nail maker, lives a content but monotonous life full of routine. He therefore sets off to his hometown. In the magical Finnish landscape between a lake and a forest, he experiences a summer full of dreams, passion, intoxicating adventures, and quiet resignation. Four Day-Settings is a poetic meditation on the restless human heart, on losing and finding oneself, but it will also captivate you with Waltari's subtle humour.
