Be a great dad and a rock for your partner!
In this book, the author introduces you to the previously unknown world of a new dad. She draws on her experience, explaining everything clearly and concisely. You will learn about the needs of a small baby, how to care for them, and get advice on how to support your partner in her role as a mother. The author does not command or forbid, she only offers you options and information. A lot of the advice is also intended for mothers, so the book is a useful guide for both parents. Vanda Schreierová is a certified instructor of physical education and swimming for infants, toddlers and preschool children, and the author of the very successful books 'To Mum' and 'How to Get Rid of Nappies'. She runs courses in infant swimming and so-called 'handling' with children. She writes for magazines and we can sometimes see her on television. She also writes articles on her blog www.vanickovani.cz, which are very popular with parents – Vanda Schreierová is in constant contact with parents, so she knows well what interests them and what issues they are dealing with.
And what does the author say about her book? This book is written primarily for men, for dads (but careful, for women too, read on...), to help them get a better grip on the new world with a baby and their “new” partner, because life will never be the same again. It will be much better! Understand your baby's needs and don't wait until they are older. Support your partner in the difficult transformation from a woman into a mother. Always be close to each other. All this is a big part of the success of being a parent. The book is also suitable for mothers, as it is full of information, advice and tricks on how to care for children. I speak to men in it, but their calm perspective is often exactly what we need for happy motherhood and childcare. Both the man and the woman are important for this ride, and I dare say that if you read this book together, you will be a little closer again. You will be more in sync in caring for a small baby and you will better understand each other, their fears and expectations. Before holding their own child, a person can have a million ideas about parenting, but they will soon collapse like a house of cards. It really is a new world. Build it together! The book contains topics that parents deal with the most and need clarity on. I don't judge, I don't command, I just offer information and advice that simply works because it's proven, not only by me as a mother of three who has bumped her nose more than once, but also as a lecturer. Everything I offer you in the book is not based purely on my experience, but also on scientific disciplines. The book will provide you with a kind of imaginary map to help you navigate this new life better, to avoid unnecessary accidents if possible, and to ensure you don't run out of steam for the journey ahead. And that men aren't for babies? That they don't know what to do with them, are afraid and are waiting for them to get older? They don't have to be at all! Babies are great! You just have to understand them. :) Vanda S.
