And who will save us all? Jana Micenková (1980). She studied screenwriting and dramaturgy at FAMU in Prague. She made her literary debut with the short story collection Sladký život (Sweet Life) (2018), which was nominated for the Anasoft Litera award. She won 2nd place in the DRÁMA competition (2019) for her dramatic text Rekonštrukcia prípadu Janko Rybárik (Reconstruction of the Janko Rybárik Case). The text was performed as a staged reading at the Slovak National Theatre. In 2021, she published the psychological novel Krv je len voda (Blood Is Only Water), which analyses the genesis of a violent act and the breakdown of a dysfunctional family. The novel was nominated for the Anasoft Litera and René awards and has been published in Hungarian and Czech.
