Flaming Revenge

A dark conspiracy, a horrific murder and one fearless police officer
In the middle of the night, Kate Burkholder is called to a suspicious fire in the woods. When she arrives at the scene, she finds nothing but a charred body. The victim, identified as an Amish man named Milan Swanz, was tied to a stake and burned alive. Kate knows all too well that the Amish are a closed community and don't share their problems much. This case is no different, leaving more questions than answers. However, Kate manages to find out that Swanz was recently excommunicated. If that's true, why are the Amish so reluctant to talk about him? Are they protecting his memory? Or are they afraid of something that should remain a secret forever? In an attempt to uncover the real reason for Milan Swanz's death, Kate must delve into the depths of Anabaptist culture and explore all the dark corners of its history. In doing so, she uncovers a secret legacy that will make her question how well she knows the Amish and her own roots…
