Fellowship of the myth
The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia, the greatest works of world fantasy, would never have been created if two Oxford academics had not become friends one day in 1929. J. R. R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis both possessed an immense gift of imagination, the likes of which are rarely seen. And in each other, they found a friend and fellow traveller on their expeditions into magical worlds far beyond our own “real” one. Come and walk through their life stories and learn more about the deeper connections between the fantasy genre, fairy tales, and world myths and epics.
