Feeling of shame

An Amish grandmother is murdered on an abandoned farm, and her seven-year-old granddaughter is kidnapped. Police Chief Kate Burkholder immediately begins investigating the case. He realizes that the longer the girl remains missing, the less chance there is of finding her alive and well. Moreover, the girl's family is highly respected within the Amish community. And although the members of the group try to cooperate with the police, Kate learns that they are hiding a secret too. The investigation takes Kate to an isolated settlement in southern Ohio. Will Kate be able to get to the missing girl in time?
