European Union institutions and the Lisbon Treaty

The book Institutions of the European Union and the Lisbon Treaty, prepared by a team of authors from the Department of West European Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University in Prague, analyses the changes in the European Union after the adoption of the Lisbon Treaty from the perspective of new institutionalism. The authors aim to assess the impact of the institutional reform, its shortcomings and to answer the question whether the post-Lisbon European Union will be able to focus on the content of its activities instead of further institutional changes.
