Ethics, economics, nature
This publication by renowned authors responds to the turn of the social sciences towards ethics. It is intended for students and teachers of universities focusing on economics, social sciences and environmental studies and for all those interested in these fields. The first part is devoted to the evolutionary-ontological theory of the conflict between culture and nature and a new understanding of the role of economy in culture and culture in nature. The theme of human labour is introduced as well as the problem of changing education for a globalised culture. The second part deals with thought experiments proving the meaning and importance of environmental ethics. Its first sections are devoted to a critique of the long-standing attempt to isolate ethics from philosophy and the special sciences, while the next chapter analyses six of the most important concepts of environmental ethics. The third part deals with ethical considerations in business practice. He comments on current trends in contemporary business ethics and reflects on the principles of doing business in foreign markets.
