Ethical issues in medicine on the threshold of the 21st century
The monograph systematically maps ethical problems in medicine at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries.
It is divided into four thematic units. The first one analyses ethical issues at the level of general and historical context, the second one deals with ethical problems that stand at the borderline between research and clinical work, the third one maps the state of ethics and expected ethical challenges in individual clinical disciplines and the final part discusses some special issues - e.g. issues of death and dying, dehumanization in medicine and other serious phenomena.
