Eternal Imago

Kortyzgar is now an independent, planet-sized being who must fight for self-determination, and thus for his own physical existence. However, this new god is sick. A four-member expedition is sent to save him, tasked with penetrating the dangerous, gigantic organism and destroying the source of the disease. One of the members of this expedition is Yw Yrad, the leader of Kortyzgar's sect and the last member of an ancient lineage. Josef Pecinovský (1946), one of the most popular authors of Czech fantasy in the 1980s, has returned to the literary scene in recent years. The foundation of his work consists of bleak, action-packed dystopian stories, the most significant of which are the short story Házím ti laso, kamaráde (1990) and the novel Plástev jedu (1990), a reissue of which was recently published in the Pevnost Edition. Věčné imago is the final book in the Kroniky nové Země tetralogy and, unlike the previous three volumes, is being published for the very first time.
