A new collection of poems by a prominent Czech author. Marie Šťastná (1981) was awarded the prestigious Jiří Orten Award in 2004 for her collection Krajina s Ofélií (Landscape with Ophelia) and received the Dresden Lyric Prize in 2010. In her new, and most personal collection to date, Marie Šťastná opens the door to a wardrobe where well-loved pieces that never age hang alongside brand-new wild dresses and flowing skirts, jumpers made of fine prickly fibres, tangled stockings, light blouses with translucent sections, and a heavy garter belt. The hairs left on the hangers change in length and colour, and the old wardrobe gives off its original scent in its new flat.
