Eduard Bass: Klapzub's Eleven

A unique treatment of Eduard Bass's text. Karel Höger does not merely interpret the book, but often plays out individual situations in almost theatrical performances, which director Horčička underlines with precisely chosen musical inputs and a number of dramatic sound effects. The original six-part reading from 1953 with an introduction by Josef Laufer has unfortunately not survived, but was cut into this three-part version in 1976.
