House of Silence

Amid the deadly swamps stands the hidden House of Silence. The last hope for all the children in whom the procedure has given them abilities too terrible to live with. No one knows what goes on behind its walls, how the treatment is going, or where the children will go afterwards. Birdie went through all sorts of things to infiltrate the House of Silence as a servant. This is where the last traces of her younger sister Magpie lead. But the house is not at all what she expected. Instead of impoverished children who underwent the procedure in the hope of providing for their poor families, it' s teeming with aristocratic teenagers with strange abilities. And Magpie is nowhere to be found.
Where did her sister go? And what is the ghostly Mistress of the House up to? Birdie wants to get to the bottom of the truth, but she must be careful - danger lurks at every turn, and once the house silences you, you' re silenced forever.
