Did the dreams cause the fever, or did the fever cause the dreams? Walter Gilman didn't know that anymore.
A promising student of mathematics and geometry, he literally fell under the ghostly spell of Miskatonic University in Arkahm and found a taste for the occult sciences. He deliberately stayed in the infamous house, whose irregular rooms were once occupied by the dreaded Salem Witch.
But with the arrival of those horrific dreams, the fascination turns into a nightmare and he falls deeper and deeper into feverish visions. As his rampages gradually take on more and more frightening shapes, Gilman soon discovers that the hideous nocturnal visitors are in fact much more than a figment of his delirious mind.
