Divorce

Bea and Niklas have been together for over thirty years. They live with their two teenage daughters in a beautiful, spacious apartment in central Stockholm and have a happy marriage. When Niklas doesn' t return home one evening after a completely meaningless argument, Bea doesn' t understand at all. He expects Niklas to calm down soon and return with a humble apology. But the hours pass and Niklas doesn' t call. Instead, the tension is building even more and the situation is getting worse. Bea discovers that Niklas has not only met another woman, but also has no interest in resolving their marital crisis in any way and is demanding a divorce. But does this fact really come as a bolt from the blue? Is the one who leaves always the bad one? What do we see when we start to scrape away the outer layers of a seemingly familiar relationship?
