Dissident: Alexey Navalnyj - Profile of a political prisoner

DISIDENT tells the story of how one intrepid man, outraged by the dishonesty and criminality of the Russian political system, created a tireless opposition movement and became President Vladimir Putin's most formidable opponent. He became so despised that the Russian leader took great pains to ensure that his name was never spoken again. There is an old saying that Russia without corruption is not Russia. Alexei Navalny rejects this claim. His stubborn insistence that Russians could defy the stereotype and create a completely different country made him such a threat to Putin that the Kremlin wanted him expelled or killed.
