Disruptor

The book The Interrupter is based on true events and the script for the film of the same name by the young director David Balda.

The story tells about the life of army airmen in the 1970s and 1980s. The main characters are four friends who are united by their great love of flying. The most talented of them is Vladislav Kučera, who spends most of his time at the svazarm airport. Suddenly this idyllic environment is disrupted by the omnipresent StB.

Many friends come into close contact with the agents and it is quite impossible to avoid contact with them. Friends are suddenly facing each other on different sides of the barricade. The Kuchers are facing a life-threatening situation, so they take a risky decision. There is no other option. They have to decide who they can trust and who represents a looming betrayal. Will they be able to escape State Security and get to safety?

The plane's engine growls dramatically, as if to underscore that it's all about now, there's no turning back. The pilot tries to remain calm, but his eyes speak for him – he's scared. He knows that a risky flight across the border is the only chance to save his family from StB agents. If it bursts, it's all over! But there is no stopping it, even though betrayal can come at any second, completely unexpectedly. His C-105 aircraft, off-white with dark blue and red stripes, flies through the clouds close to the ground, while a car with his wife and young son drives off somewhere below. The father convinces himself and his older son, who is on board with him, that they can handle everything. Still, the son asks again: “ Can't the fighter find us, Dad? “ The answer sounds convincing: “ Don't worry, I know how to hide them in the clouds. “
