Walker and Gould couldn't be more different
The first is a mercenary with a reputation as a hard man who always finishes the job. The second is… a husband whose wife has disappeared. So Gould does something he never expected to do – he hires Walker. Walker takes the job, even breaking one of his own rules: never take passengers. Without either of them knowing, they find themselves caught in someone else's game.

Ladislav Klimeš
Ladislav Klimeš (*1992) An author of action-packed pulp fiction, a model maker, and an aircraft enthusiast with a taste stuck in the eighties and a sense of humour stuck in puberty. He debuted in 2016 with the post-apocalyptic action novel Příliš divoká zem (E-knihy jedou), which he followed up with two more instalments. He then published the military action book Projekt bouře (2021, E-knihy jedou) and the conspiracy thriller Všiváci (2022, E-knihy jedou). He proved his love for video games from the turn of the millennium in the duology Kolaborant and Vyvrhel (Laser). He loves all sorts of sci-fi universes, metal music, and dark humour without any inhibitions.
Karel Doležal
He knows no genre limitations, flitting from humour to horror and happily mixing everything together into a deadly cocktail. He is the author of the bizarro urban fantasy novel Zombie, chiméry a rock'n'roll (2019) and the short story-novel sequel Zjevy kosmické, řevy pozemské (2022). He would like to write a third instalment to conclude the story. As for shared worlds, in addition to the Fallen Empire, on which he is working with Ladislav Klimeš, and Kladivo na čaroděje, he also has experience with Jan Kotouč's series about the Czech Lands and Larry Correia's Monster Hunters. He has stopped counting his published short stories in books and magazines; there have been around forty since the first in 2011, for example in the anthologies O krok před peklem (Epocha), Bizarropolis (Carcosa), V Královských zahradách (Fobos), Hrdinové českých zemí (Brokilon), Praga Mater Urbium (Straky na vrbě), and Lovci monster: Fantom (Fantom print).
