Difficult decisions

Hamburg, 1939. When a high-ranking Nazi takes an interest in Sonja Casparius, she is initially flattered, even as her intimately familiar world begins to crack. But then she falls in love with Jacques, a French forced labourer, and must make a difficult decision. The war has also divided childhood friends Kurt and Fanni. Kurt, who was sent to England on a Kindertransport, manages to join the Royal Air Force. One day, he is scheduled to take part in an air raid on his former home. But his family still lives in Hamburg, as does the woman he has loved since childhood… The continuation of the great Hamburg family saga.
