Dictionary of Ecclesiastical Law

The Dictionary of Ecclesiastical Law is the first Czech dictionary specialized in explaining terms related to the organization of individual churches. It notes all the major elements of their internal systems and legal provisions, compares the use of terms in various churches and religious societies and in state regulations on churches. The dictionary seeks to clarify the correct use of individual terms in both common and literary language. Its main aim is to help users navigate through the subject vocabulary, which is rich but relatively little known because it was relegated to the background during the totalitarian system. As such, it is widely applicable especially for students of humanities faculties - law, philosophy, theology, journalism - and for workers in these fields. It is also used by translators of professional texts and fiction.
