Diagnosis and treatment of fertility disorders
In July 2013, we marked the 35th anniversary of the birth of Lousie Brown - the first child after fertilization of an egg in laboratory conditions and subsequent transfer of the embryo back into the womb. This publication is a testimony to the extraordinary development of reproductive medicine and assisted reproduction during this relatively short period of time.
It presents the current knowledge of the influence of advanced reproductive age on fertility and treatment success, current diagnostic and therapeutic options for women with ovulation disorders, the importance of endoscopy (hysteroscopy, laparoscopy) in the diagnosis and treatment of couples with fertility disorders, the possibilities of assisted reproduction for individual causes of fertility disorders and the importance and possibilities of reproductive genetics as an integral part of modern assisted reproduction.
