Devil's Numbers

During an official trip of Jiří Adam from Dobronín, several murders occur in Dvůr Králové. Since one of the victims is a member of the Wallenstein family, who is at odds with the owner of the Vrchlabí estate, the royal scribe has to deal with it. But it soon turns out that all these murders look like the work of the devil, because they are marked with the number of the beast 666. The situation is all the more complicated because the city council is trying to take advantage of this circumstance to take over the city. It imposes restrictions and forces the townspeople to fight evil with increased piety. He accuses some of those who do not believe in the work of the devil of being involved in Satan's work and plans spectacular executions. It is a race against time, when it is no longer so much about justice as it is about fighting bigotry and human stupidity.
