The Devil's Judgment

The devil won’t let me escape. I feel his hot breath on my neck wherever I go. I am trapped in a world of magic and monsters, governed by laws I don’t understand, inhabited by creatures older and much crueller than I am. Here, I’m just an ordinary mortal. Prey. A distraction. Maybe both.

If I want to get anywhere, I have to tame my newly awakened power and find allies. But in the war-torn Slavu, no one trusts anyone. I have to prove myself while risking my life and escaping the devil, even though my fate seems inevitable. The devil is doing everything in his power to force his way back into my good graces... and into my heart.

When the most powerful forces of Slavu discover who I really am, everything will change – and I will learn another lesson.
