Department D

All he needs is just to make it through the night shift... Or rather, literally survive it? Amy never wanted to spend the night in D's psych ward. Mental patients are hospitalised here and she, as a medical student, has to gain work experience. Little do her colleagues know, however, that she is being forced to face her past, which she has tried so hard to forget. The compartment door locks. The night begins. And with it, the countdown. But the hours drag on interminably slowly. This night is even scarier than usual. Something evil is in the air and Amy begins to wonder if she, too, has lost her sanity and feels like she can't get out of here, that something terrible is happening behind these walls. Patients and staff start disappearing without a trace and suddenly it becomes clear that everyone in the ward is in great danger. In Ward D, New York Times bestselling author Freida McFadden delivers a chilling thriller set in the closed environment of a mental hospital, where the lines between sanity and madness blur and you have to keep the lights on while you listen...
