Another masterpiece from Iceland's most successful contemporary author
A woman is found murdered in her flat in Reykjavík. On the table lies a piece of paper with Inspector Konrád's phone number. Apparently, the woman had called him shortly before her death, begging him to look for the child she had given up for adoption decades ago. Konrád refused. Now, he deeply regrets his decision and wants to grant her desperate wish, at least posthumously. He sets out to find the child, unaware of the danger that awaits him.
