New edition of The Gift for the Master Executioner and The Skeleton Monastery
Once again, we meet medieval detectives - Jakub Protivou of Protivec, the Prague New Town's speedmaster, and the monk Blasius - and find ourselves in the reign of King Wenceslas IV.
Jakub has unfinished business with the robber knight Jan Zoule from Ostředek. The king's cash may have captured his castles and scattered his robber company, but he is still on the run. Rychtář returns to his native stronghold in southern Bohemia to find out who killed his brother Ondrej. It turns out that the surrounding region has been terrorized by a gang of robbers and extortionists for a long time. But is it really they who are responsible for Andrew's death?
