Death in Blue
Painter Arnold Wegner captures his era through sharp contrasts – poverty and luxury, war and hedonism. His paintings, in which he provocatively depicts society and the recent past of the First World War, evoke both admiration and disgust, but leave no one indifferent. When the artist is found dead in his studio, the first lead takes Detective Inspector Leo Wechsler to the radical right-wing group Asgard, which boasts many former military officers among its members. The investigation does not go well at all, but then Leo Wechsler receives a tip from the avant-garde dancer Thea Pabst and discovers that the crime had a witness. However, this witness is desperately avoiding any contact with the police.
