Dear Martha

As Marta Kaletová stands on the threshold of adulthood, unfortunate events drive her from her native village in the Beskydy foothills. At the beginning of the Second World War, she leaves her parents and heads to the town of Hranice with her younger brother, Ota. Although she tries to make a fresh start in this unfamiliar place, her heart still yearns for the Těšínsko region, which has been annexed by the Reich. However, even the end of the war doesn't bring a direct return to the places where Marta spent her idyllic childhood. Times change, some losses never heal, and the only certainty is her love for her family and home.
