Every society has its heroes and traitors.

What do the names Karel Sabina or Rudolf Mrva mean to you today? Probably not much, but in their time, during the national revival, they were among the most despised traitors to the nation. But it was only after the fall of the First Republic that all kinds of traitors began to swarm the Czech basin. Emanuel Moravec was a super traitor to the nation, but we must not forget the paratroopers Karel Čurda and Antonín Přeučil and many others. During World War II, the worst betrayals against our nation were committed by Gestapo confederates: Nestor Holejko, Jaroslav Nachtmann etc. Some of them later served the Communist state security and some of them served the Western intelligence services just as efficiently. What a name, what a different fate, full of the double danger of life on a thin rope. Heroes to some, traitors to others.
