Court Lady
A story of love, adventure, and chivalric romance from the world of the high Scottish and English nobility unfolds against the backdrop of conflicts between the Scottish and English kingdoms in the second half of the 13th century, during the reign of King Edward I of England, known as the Hammer of the Scots.

Although relations between Scotland and England have been outwardly friendly in recent years, treacherous plans are being hatched beneath the surface. Lady-in-waiting Caitrina de Monfort finds herself in a precarious situation. Her sister is being held captive by Girik, a henchman of the English King Edward Longshanks, who is now forcing Caitrina to spy on the widowed queen and is demanding even more for her sister's release. The shrewd noblewoman has a plan to free her sister, but it is thwarted by a young, charismatic courtier who appears at the queen's temporary residence.
Brian MacLean, however, is not who he claims to be. He has stolen a precious object and, to escape his pursuers, has infiltrated the queen's household in disguise. Caitrina manages to obtain the stolen treasure and, in exchange for its return, demands Brian's help in finding and freeing her sister.
However, their enemy is cruel and merciless, and the young couple and the captured girl's lives are often in danger. But even if they manage to survive, it seems their love can have no future…
