Continued diplomacy
A planetary dispute that could spark a war
Centuries ago, humans settled a remote sector of the galaxy called Hirano, creating interstellar states and making contact with other alien species.
But people will always be people, so when the Aston Union and the Commonwealth of Ballington independently discover a system rich in rare resources, neither side wants to give it up. Old grievances and resentments bubble to the surface, and what began as a diplomatic dispute turns into mutual intimidation with the help of warships. The whole situation is slowly spiralling out of control...
The book also includes a novella, "Too Close an Encounter," and a bonus short story, "Command Decision."
