Construction of the fireplace

There is a plethora of modern fireplace inserts on the market today. The materials used for these inserts are not left out of the development either. With the help of new lightweight structural insulation boards, masonry adhesives instead of the traditional mortars, plaster fabrics and modern joints to heat-resistant boards, the construction of the fireplace has been greatly simplified and is beginning to resemble a kit. How to take advantage of the excellent properties of the new materials is illustrated in the publication with two basic types of fireplace. The first one is a classic with a slanted chimney, the second one has a simple straight shape more suitable for modern interiors. However, don't start building until you're sure you've answered all the basic questions; the very first chapter, "Which fireplace and why", will be a good guide. There is nothing worse than having a fireplace in your home that smokes, doesn't heat and doesn't warm.
