Companions

Drow renegade Drizzt Do'Urden misses his old friends, the former Companions of the Hall. You can't step in the same river twice, but perhaps there's a spark of hope.

The song of the goddess Mielikki holds miraculous power. Catti-brie, Bruenor, Regis and Wulfgar are given a second chance. But there's a catch. To be reborn, you must also grow up again – but what if you're a child with the memories, skills, and experience of an adult? The former companions will each have to face the goddess's challenge on their own, as she throws them into difficult situations, whether it be hand-to-hand combat, undead attacks, magical duels, or exceptional gifts that subject them to harsh trials and leave their lives hanging by a thread time and again. The Spellplague may also be nearing its end, and this momentous change will either find them unprepared or at a unique advantage – but perhaps the same can be said for their enemies.

Will they be reunited with Drizzt, or will they squander this unique opportunity? R. A. Salvatore once again demonstrates an immense amount of creativity at a time when the world had all but given up on these beloved characters, and with masterful precision, he brings us back to the Forgotten Realms to seamlessly continue the previous adventures.
