Clinical Biochemistry

The third, completely revised edition of the popular textbook Clinical Biochemistry provides an overview of the latest findings in the field. Compared to the previous edition, some chapters have been revised and edited, others have been supplemented with new information; Older, outdated information has been deleted. The clearly written text respects new findings and recommendations in the fields of cardiology, nephrology, diabetology, oncology and many other clinical fields; the authors added a chapter on hemocoagulation factors.

The focus of all chapters is on the clinical interpretation of laboratory results. The methods of determination are mentioned only briefly, they are given in more detail only where necessary for understanding the interpretation of the finding. The text now also includes short case studies, which are intended to illustrate the described facts using practical examples.

The publication is intended for physicians, but also for clinical biochemists and doctors of other fields for postgraduate training and for everyday practical activities.
