Chimera

When the mutilated body of a runner is found beneath the cliffs of an idyllic coastal town, the perfect locals suddenly don' t seem so perfect.

Lily Bradley is a renowned psychotherapist married to a distinguished professor. They live with their two children in a dream home in the close-knit community of Story Cove. Lily lives an orderly life. Or at least that' s what it seems like. As a therapist, she knows that everyone is hiding something. Even herself.

But one day, the sensual and free-spirited Arwen Harper drives into the neighborhood in a painted van with her sixteen-year-old son in the passenger seat. And the secrets of Story Cove suddenly become unsafe. Because Arwen may know her new neighbors better than they know themselves.

Then someone dies and it looks like murder. A brutal and personal murder that calls upon the keen eye of Detective Rue Duval. Rue is tasked with uncovering secrets. But she is also a specialist in hiding them.

The lives of three women are irresistibly intertwined, and only one thing is clear: When it comes to survival, ordinary people can do the most terrible things.
