The third part of the Dune series
takes us to the time when Paul Atreides, the savior of Dune, disappears into the desert. He leaves behind Arrakis as he imagined it - and not as he imagined it. More and more greenery is appearing in the bleak desert – but so is the priestly bureaucracy that brandishes its name.
The Fremen jihad is sweeping through space like a bloody fire. Paul' s sister Alia increasingly succumbs to the evil voices within her, and his mother Jessica tries to guide her daughter, but ultimately has to seek refuge under the protection of the Fremen.
The only hope against the terrible future that Paul tried to prevent with his sacrifice is his children, twins Leto and Ghanima, children gifted with their father' s vision and abilities - and an iron will. Because the vision demands an even greater sacrifice – from one of them.
